Our client, a leading performance automotive company specialising in restoring and rebuilding classic British sports cars, is currently looking to recruit a Parts Advisor to join the team at their head office in Abingdon.
Reporting to the Business Owner and working as part of a large and friendly team, as a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for dealing with customers regarding parts enquiries, ensuring that all parts orders are accurately identified, promptly picked and dispatched. You will also carry out parts stock control, supply parts to our client’s Vehicle Technicians in the workshop, and help cover delivery runs/organise parts logistics.
To be eligible, you will need to hold extensive vehicle parts experience (ideally experience with similar classic sports cars) with an active personal interest in everything automotive. Any previous mechanical experience working on vehicles would be highly beneficial but is non-essential. You will also need to be IT literate, given you will work daily with an electronic parts catalogue system, hold a UK driving license with minimal points (ideally you will have a Category B+E licence), and have strong customer service/sales skills with a friendly and charismatic telephone manner.
