About the Role
To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. The store operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and requires flexible working to fit around your lifestyle, including weekend work. You will be responsible for accurately assembling and processing prescriptions, driving awareness of all extra pharmacy services (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews), and supporting the Pharmacist with patient services such as blood pressure checks and stop smoking schemes. You will learn and follow strict Standard Operating Procedures and collect prescriptions from doctors’ surgeries for ready collection in the store. You will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within six months and then train as a Dispensing Assistant to complete your pharmacy training.
About You
You will be naturally friendly, highly organised, have good computer skills and a keen eye for detail. You must communicate well with customers, enjoy problem‑solving, and be passionate about helping people and providing a great healthcare experience.
