This position involves assisting with various accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and supporting the department in the smooth running of financial processes. Key Responsibilities: Verifying daily shops cash and credit card takings, ensuring accuracy of the figures and posting onto Sage accounting system. Reconciling the shop sale figures. Verifying and reconciling shop petty cash payments. Reporting any discrepancies to the Assistant Finance Manager and resolving any disputes in a timely manner. Undertake, on occasions, additional or other duties within the context of this role within the department.Ideal candidate will have: Interest and experience in finance, accounting, or related fields. Understanding of financial principles and practices. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); experience with accounting software is a plus; however, training will be provided. Organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and also independently when needed. Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
