Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Our client, a prestigious motorcycle manufacturer based in Hinckley, is seeking an experienced Fabricator / Manual Machine Operator to join their Design & Development Manufacturing Team.
This is an exciting role involving the production of one-off prototype parts and custom fabrication projects that directly support prototype builds. Precision and strong engineering knowledge are essential to succeed in this position.
Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate sheet metal components to precise engineering specifications
*
Manufacture turned and milled parts from technical drawings using manual machines
*
Operate metalworking machinery and hand tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and welding equipment
*
Conduct dimensional and quality inspections on fabricated parts
*
Collaborate closely with design engineers and prototype teams to support ongoing development projects
Essential Skills & Experience:
*
Proven experience in metal fabrication, manual machining, or prototype manufacturing
*
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
*
Skilled in operating manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and welding equipment
*
Competent with sheet metal fabrication processes including cutting, bending, forming, and welding
*
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints
*
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in Fabrication, Toolmaking, Manual Machining, Prototype Engineering, Precision Engineering, Mechanical Fitting, or Custom Manufacturing.
