Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: We currently have opportunities for caring, enthusiastic and self-motivated Support Workers to join our team in Scrabster, Thurso for bank/casual roles.

In this role you will be supporting a gentleman with health and learning difficulties to live independently in his own home and work with a tailored care and support plan to meet his individual needs.

Due to this individual’s unique needs, we are looking for people who are energetic and physically active and enjoy the outdoors and a variety of activities including swimming, walking, attending day centre and going to the cinema. It is also important to him to spend time with close family.

We provide support through the night (waking nights) and during the day between 8am -10.30pm (2:1 support). We are looking for flexible bank staff to work a variety of shifts.

You will provide support in all aspects of daily living including personal care, meal preparation and medication. Previous experience of autism and learning disabilities would be an advantage. Support worker team will be trained in Learning Disability Awareness, Autism Awareness, Visual and Auditory impairment, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), Moving and Handling and Sensory Awareness.

Due to the requirements in this service, staff must hold a full UK driving license Your values:
