We are transforming our homeless service to improve homelessness prevention, reduce temporary accommodation and end street homelessness. To be successful in this role, you will have ability to provide a comprehensive housing advice /options/ statutory homeless service to those in housing need.
You will have working and up to date knowledge of Part V1 and V11 of the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002, case law and Code of Guidance. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of legislation, policy and practice relating to homelessness in England.

Candidate Profile
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of legislation, policy and practice relating to homelessness and refugee schemes in England, including strong expertise in how various accommodation options are developed, funded and delivered.
Working knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements, relating to housing, including landlord and tenant law, and private sector housing market and contracts.
Experience of working with clients with support needs to secure accommodation.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively and build trust and strong relationships with residents, staff within the council and our partner organisations. A collaborative, and 'can do' approach is a must.
Working knowledge of delivering a streamlined high quality customer focused service ensuring telephone calls, emails, letters and complaints are fully responded to promptly and to the highest possible standard in compliance with corporate guidelines or as instructed by the service manager.
