We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a growing construction consultancy team in Devon. The role is ideal for someone with 2 years’ PQE in consultancy project management who is ready to take on greater responsibility, client-facing opportunities, and high-profile projects. About the Role: You will: * Lead projects end-to-end, from inception to completion. * Deliver projects across multiple sectors including commercial, residential, education, heritage, and public/private schemes. * Manage budgets, cost control, and value engineering to ensure profitability and quality. * Oversee contract administration (NEC, JCT, or other forms) and ensure commercial success. * Coordinate design, procurement, and construction activities. * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams. * Report progress, challenges, and strategies clearly to leadership and clients. Responsibilities: * Drive project delivery and performance across multiple projects. * Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to prevent impacts on timelines or budgets. * Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, health & safety, and internal quality benchmarks. * Lead teams through change while maintaining focus, morale, and alignment with business goals. * Mentor junior staff and contribute to professional development within the team. Skills Required: * Minimum 2 years’ PQE in consultancy construction project management. * MCIOB, MRICS, APM qualification, or clear commitment to achieving chartered status. * Strong understanding of construction methodologies, design coordination, procurement, and contract administration. * Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, value engineering, and maximising profitability while delivering quality. * Experience with NEC, JCT, or other contract forms. * Proficient in Asta Powerproject or MS Project advantageous. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Self-motivated and capable of inspiring teams while driving project performance. Qualifications: * Degree-qualified in construction, project management, or a related discipline.
