Conveyancing Assistant

My client, a family-oriented law firm, is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant to join their team in Huddersfield.
Main Duties:
1. Assist in managing caseloads by undertaking procedures as directed by the Conveyancer, including handling file-related queries face-to-face or by telephone.
2. Support Conveyancers in maintaining files through effective file management.
3. Ensure clients are dealt with efficiently and politely, and that appropriate legal matters are raised with the Conveyancer.
4. Attend to clients, take instructions, and conduct letter and telephone enquiries as necessary.
5. Respond promptly to telephone enquiries received into the office.
6. Provide quotes both over the phone and via email, including to referrers.
7. Use the correct practice procedures and systems to manage cases effectively, in accordance with the firm's standards and legal requirements.
8. Manage own work allocation, productivity, and quality with minimal supervision.
9. Communicate with clients, agents, referrers, search providers, and other parties to progress active conveyancing transactions.
10. Ensure confidentiality of all the firm's and clients' documentation and information.
11. Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
12. Assist in maintaining and improving office procedures.
13. Ensure compliance with the firm's Equality and Diversity policy.
