Overview
We are seeking skilled Forklift Drivers on behalf of our client based in Witham. The successful candidates will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. The ideal applicant will have previous warehouse experience and a proactive approach to maintaining safety standards.

Shifts
4. Night shift: 9:00pm – 6:00am
5. Day shift: 8:00am – 5:00pm
6. Late shift: 10:00am – 7:00pm
The Role
7. Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
8. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems accurately
9. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods
10. Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper stacking and storage
11. Conduct regular safety checks on forklift equipment and report any issues
12. Support the organisation of stock in designated areas for easy access and safety compliance
13. Carry out basic maths calculations for inventory counts and measurements
Your Experience/ Requirements
14. Valid forklift licence with proven experience operating various types of forklifts
15. VNA licence essential
16. Previous warehouse experience is essential
17. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is highly desirable
18. Strong materials handling skills with attention to safety procedures
19. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and repeatedly throughout the shift
20. Basic maths skills for inventory management and measurements
21. Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in shipping & receiving tasks
22. Physical fitness to undertake heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
