Overview
We are seeking skilled Forklift Drivers on behalf of our client based in Witham. The successful candidates will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. The ideal applicant will have previous warehouse experience and a proactive approach to maintaining safety standards.

4. 6am – 3pm
The Role
5. Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
6. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems accurately
7. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods
8. Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper stacking and storage
9. Conduct regular safety checks on forklift equipment and report any issues
10. Support the organisation of stock in designated areas for easy access and safety compliance
11. Carry out basic maths calculations for inventory counts and measurements
Your Experience/ Requirements
12. Valid forklift licence with proven experience operating various types of forklifts
13. VNA licence essential
14. Previous warehouse experience is essential
15. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is highly desirable
16. Strong materials handling skills with attention to safety procedures
17. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and repeatedly throughout the shift
18. Basic maths skills for inventory management and measurements
19. Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in shipping & receiving tasks
20. Physical fitness to undertake heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
