The School and Role
James Brindley Academy provides education for pupils who are unable to attend mainstream school due to medical or mental health needs, including those based at Birmingham Children's Hospital. The setting offers a highly supportive, nurturing environment with teaching in the wards and a strong focus on wellbeing. This role involves delivering engaging, differentiated Science lessons to pupils who are unable to attend school due to varying medical needs.
Requirements
The desired Science Teacher will have;
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Science at secondary level
A strong understanding of SEND/SEMH needs
An adaptable, patient and compassionate teaching approach
