A leading manufacturer of fibre-based packaging solutions is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment, delivering accurate cost estimates for tenders, projects, and enquiries.
Your new role
As an Estimator, you will:
* Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
* Analyse job specifications and recommend cost-effective production options.
* Calculate material costs, labour, and time required for each project.
* Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best pricing.
* Maintain accurate records of estimates and project details.
* Collaborate closely with sales and production teams to align estimates with business needs.
* Provide competitive pricing solutions that support business growth.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have at least 5 years of experience in estimating within the packaging industry (ideally cartons).
* Possess a strong understanding of packaging materials, processes, and market dynamics.
* Be self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
* Have proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
* Be detail-oriented with high accuracy and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
