MILK Education are working in partnership with a forward-thinking school in Manchester to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their nurturing and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of pupils who need it most.
The Role:
As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you’ll be:
* Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Helping pupils regulate their emotions and develop coping strategies
* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families
* Working closely with SENCOs and external professionals to deliver tailored support plans
* Encouraging engagement and positive behaviour both in and out of the classroom
What We’re Looking For:
We want to hear from you if you:
* Have experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
* Are patient, empathetic, and able to stay calm under pressure
* Understand the challenges faced by young people with additional needs
* Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Hold a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
* Are Team Teach or de-escalation trained (desirable but not essential)
