We are a all-through special needs school in Surbiton, seeking a caring and reliable Mealtime Supervisor / Lunch Cover to support our students during the lunchtime period. About the Role: As a Mealtime Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils during lunch. You’ll work closely with staff to ensure a positive, safe, and supportive environment for all students. Main responsibilities include: • Assisting with the serving of food to students. • Supporting students with eating and drinking during lunch. • Encouraging purposeful play and promoting positive social interactions. • Supervising children in the dining hall, playground, and indoors during poor weather. • Promoting and maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour in line with the school's Behaviour Policy. This role would suit someone who: • Enjoys working with children and young people with special educational needs. • Is patient, empathetic, and has a calm and caring approach. • Is reliable, flexible, and a great team player. • May be looking for flexible working hours that fit around school runs or other part-time commitments. • Previous experience working in a school or with children with SEND is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
