 
        
        Care Assistant at Prestwick Care (Addison Court)
Prestwick Care is looking for compassionate Care Assistants to support residents at its Addison Court facility, located in Wesley Grove, Ryton. This is a permanent position with part‑time or full‑time options (33‑44 hours per week).
About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to residents, helping them maintain dignity and comfort during their stay. You will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure that each resident’s individual needs are met with kindness and respect.

Key Responsibilities
 * Drive, establish and maintain our CORE values throughout your team.
 * Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing and eating.
 * Help residents with mobility and physical activities as needed.
 * Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, including temperature, pulse and blood pressure.
 * Provide emotional support and companionship to residents during their stay.
 * Assist nursing staff with basic medical tasks during resident care.
 * Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents.
 * Communicate effectively with residents, families and the healthcare team about resident needs.
Required Skills & Experience
 * Working toward a Care Certificate or NVQ equivalent; nursing assistant certification preferred.
 * Empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
 * Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 * Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
 * Basic understanding of patient care procedures and safety practices.
 * Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
 * English proficiency sufficient to undertake the responsibilities of the role.
 * Previous experience in a healthcare setting an advantage but not required.
 * Satisfactory DBS check.
 * Satisfactory Right to Work in the UK or equivalent being maintained.
