What you'll do: The Avionics Airborne Equipment department is dedicated to advancing the field of avionics through a collaborative team of Systems Architecture experts, Hardware Engineers, and EME Specialists. Our mission is to design, develop, and integrate cutting-edge airborne equipment that meets the highest standards of performance and reliability. We are currently seeking a talented Systems Architecture professional to join our team. While the primary focus is on Systems Architecture, we also welcome candidates with strong backgrounds in Hardware Engineering and/or EMI/EMC expertise. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and work alongside a diverse group of specialists committed to excellence in avionics technology. - Supporting / Leading Avionics Systems Architecture Responsibilities across the MSD Eaton business project range [Air to Air Refueling, Actuation, Probes & iR&D] - Support Integrated Product Teams in the design, and execution of complex engineering projects over the full life cycle of product development. - Analyses and documents multi-disciplinary requirements including, but not limited to, mechanical, electro-mechanical, software, safety, and reliability; - Execute and/or leads teams in the decomposition, allocation and derivation of requirements and establishes traceability; and Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions. - Performs functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, system integration, verification, and validation, as well as interface definition studies of systems, subsystems, or system elements. - Manages requirements baselines, performs change impact analysis, tracks customer and internal requirements changes and implements changes in the database and appropriate specifications. - Develops requirements Verification Matrices and assists in developing verification, validation, and qualification plans. - Assists in preparation and execution of Systems Requirements Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews and Test Readiness Reviews. - Identifies and implements improvements to Engineering and/or company tools, processes, and practices. Qualifications: - 2 years of experience in the aerospace industry. - Degree in aeronautical, electrical engineering or equivalent experience Skills: - System Requirements Definition, Architecture and Design for Integration, Verification and Validation. - Knowledge of DO160/MIL-STD & DEF-STD - Knowledge of System/Product Life Cycle Management - Creation of project plans, WBS, bid support and estimates for engineering activities. - Articulate and comfortable engaging with a diverse set of stakeholders - Strong communication and listening skillsWorking / leading / facilitating cross-functional teams - Requirements capture tools - Doors/Cradle/Rhapsody knowledge - Experience in working / leading / facilitating cross-functional teams - Experience in engineering supplier management - Articulate and comfortable engaging with a diverse set of stakeholders - Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications - Knowledge of ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO254, DO178 - Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering tools and approaches - Knowledge in modelling/simulation, familiarity with Altair FEKO or similar tools [Not Essential] - General EMC knowledge [Commercial, Civil or Military] EMC Design knowledge desirable.
