Major Job Functions:
1. Preventative Maintenance Servicing (carrying out routine servicing of equipment in line with manufacturers guidelines, taking routine oil samples) - 75%
2. Machine Inspection (visual/mechanical analysis of machine condition, highlighting issues with systems and components including hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, mechanical) - 20%
3. Minor Repairs (complete minor repairs, install telematic systems, undercarriage inspections) - 5%

*This is a field-based role. Drivers must have held a full driving licence for 2 years (DVLA check required).
*Working hours: 43 hours/week, flexible start/finish, Tuesday-Saturday.
Specific Skills
Basic knowledge of Engines, Hydraulics, Powertrain, and Vehicle Electrics/Electronics related to servicing/heavy mobile plant repair.
Accountability
Attend customer sites, perform preventive maintenance, liaise with service controller and customer, ensure high standards and safety, complete paperwork accurately, and maintain company vehicle and equipment.
Education and Experience
Approximately 3 years’ experience or related engineering background (car mechanic, HGV fitter, military vehicle experience, apprenticeship with C&G level 1). Training in health & safety is desirable but not essential.
This role is ideal for engineers with transferable skills seeking entry into the plant industry. Training will be provided, with opportunities for future progression into field service roles.
