Job Summary The Holbrook and Shotley Practice is looking for a salaried GP to join their busy and stable practice, covering up to eight sessions per week in a coastal location.

8,000 patients across two sites (Holbrook and Shotley)
Main Duties
Undertake surgery consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, and manage repeat prescriptions.
Make autonomous decisions regarding presenting medical problems.
Assess patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
Screen for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
Develop care plans in consultation with patients and in line with practice disease‑management protocols.
Provide health education.
Record clear consultation notes to agreed standards.
Collect data for audit purposes and comply with QOF requirements.
Deliver enhanced services.
Compile and issue computer‑generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
Perform all general duties and responsibilities of a GP in primary care.
Qualifications
Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate).
Listed on the NHSE medical performers list.
Experience
Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management and primary prevention and screening services.
Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance, ensuring mandatory training is up to date.
Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines (prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety).
Commitment to lifelong learning and audit to ensure evidence‑based best practice.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.
