We are seeking a qualified Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) with a passion for minor injuries and a desire to progress to an advanced level of practice. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Emergency Department Advanced Practice Team within NHS Forth Valley. The successful candidate will deliver autonomous care for minor injury presentations (age 1), within both the Emergency Department and Minor Injuries Unit. You will develop your leadership skills, contribute to education and service development in line with the four pillars of advanced practice. If not already working at an advanced level, we will support the successful candidate to undertake relevant academic modules. What We’re Looking For Qualified ENP with experience in managing minor injuries Evidence of autonomous practice and clinical decision-making Commitment to ongoing professional development Excellent communication and team-working skills Band 7 Advanced ENP Essentials to undertake role: Qualified ENP who has completed the following HEI-accredited clinical courses: Minor Injuries or equivalent Independent Prescribing Qualification (V300) Clinical Examination & Advanced History Taking Evidence of autonomous practice and clinical decision-making Commitment to developing self, others, and the service Excellent communication and team-working skills Band 7 Annex 21 T&Cs will apply if any additional academic courses are required if the successful applicant only has a HEI minor injuries course or equivalent – Trainee Advanced ENP Qualified ENP - Completion of HEI Minor Injuries or equivalent course essential Willingness to undertake: Independent Prescribing Qualification (V300) Clinical Examination & Advanced History Taking Evidence of commitment to developing self, others, and the service Strong communication and team-working skills Note: Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change Terms & Conditions will apply to trainee positions Informal enquiries are welcomed and can be directed to: Tracey Archibald – Lead Nurse, Advanced Practice Emergency Department/Minor Injury Unit Tracey.Archibald@nhs.scot As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected. NHS Forth Valley may be able to offer sponsorship for certain roles, provided the post meets the minimum salary threshold and any other required criteria.
