Our manufacturing client is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant based at their premises in South Down. Applicants must have purchase ledger experience.
Responsibilities:
* Management of the purchase ledger to include posting of raw material and overhead supplier invoices.
* Checking of supplier statements, following up on any discrepancies and payment of suppliers in accordance with agreed credit terms.
* Bank transactions and reconciliations.
* Analyse and post direct expenses from Credit Card Statement, Expense Claims and Petty Cash.
* Produce and submit various Government Statutory reports such as VAT returns, ECSL and Intrastat etc.
* Administration of outsourced weekly payroll calculation and electronic payment of wages in accordance with contracts.
* Provide assistance with regard to parts pricing.
* Provide support for the annual audit.
* Provide administrative support with regard to business travel.
* Weekly management reports.
Criteria:
* Previous similar experience in an accounts / finance assistant role, including purchase ledger
* Detail-oriented and the ability to provide high levels of accuracy in all work.
* Proven ability to work well as a member of a team, as well as the ability to work independently.
* Strong IT skills
* Experience within manufacturing / engineering highly desirable
