At E-ppl, we are seeking a hands-on, detail-obsessed Quality Inspector to join our talented team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with some of the most bespoke and classic vehicles. If you are passionate about precision, craftsmanship, and quality, this could be your ideal role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Inspect custom automotive parts, assemblies, and full vehicles for fit, finish, and function.
2. Check incoming parts before they reach the workshop to ensure they meet specifications.
3. Verify that modified parts on base models meet our quality standards.
4. Approve repairs and maintain high-quality standards for customer vehicles.
5. Collaborate with Classic and Coach build teams to ensure vehicles look their best.
6. Record inspection results and report issues.
7. Log problems into systems and assist in resolving them.
8. Work with operations and logistics teams to address issues efficiently.
9. Provide regular updates to the Quality Manager and relevant teams.
Requirements:
* Experience in a manufacturing or production quality role, preferably in luxury or bespoke vehicles.
* NVQ Level 3 or similar qualification in a technical subject.
* Mechanical experience, with knowledge of vehicle trim, build processes, and technical specifications.
* Bodyshop, paint, or crash repair experience is a plus.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).
* Ability to read audit standards and identify defects.
* Full UK driving license.
Benefits
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Salary is £21.50 per hour. This is an ongoing contract paid through a limited company or umbrella company, outside of IR35. E-ppl Limited is an equal opportunities organization committed to diversity and inclusion.
