SMART Repair Technician vacancy in Weston-Super-Mare
1. Salary: Negotiable pending experience, plus additional performance-related bonus scheme paid monthly.
2. Hours: 40-hour week, 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Our client, a reputable local automotive accident repair centre in the Weston-Super-Mare region, is currently looking to recruit a SMART Repair Technician to join their business.
Report to the Bodyshop Manager and working as part of a team, your key responsibilities will include:
3. Carry out all SMART repairs according to best practice procedures.
4. Meeting acceptable safety and quality standards.
5. Interpret and implement technical instruction data.
6. Use all paint mixing schemes and drying areas/equipment accurately for all paint repairs.
7. Seek clarification from the Centre Manager if a work order is not clear or seems incorrect.
8. Complete assigned jobs within the estimated repair/paint times.
9. Safeguard the customer’s vehicle and its contents while in the centre.
10. Ensure that all vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customers.
11. Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer and industry guidelines.
12. Fulfil all tasks to the customer’s complete satisfaction.
In order to be eligible, you will need to have previous experience as a SMART Repair Technician (either mobile or workshop-based) or alternatively have relevant transferable automotive accident repair experience with skills like vehicle re-spraying and prepping. Overall, you will be a team player, have strong communication skills, be capable of working towards targets/KPI's, and be able to maintain high standards of housekeeping.
