The Gateway Primary Free School is part of the Gateway Learning Community [GLC] which is a partnership of one secondary academy and four primary academies located within Tilbury and Chadwell St Mary in the borough of Thurrock, to the east of London. Responsibilities
* Targeted Support: Deliver learning activities to small groups and individuals, adjusting tasks to meet specific learning outcomes.
* Collaborative Planning: Work with teachers to support curriculum plans and assist in developing Pastoral Support Plans and behaviour objectives.
* Mentorship: Maintain daily contact with assigned pupils to encourage positive attitudes, social skills, and self-reliance.
* Monitoring & Reporting: Use assessment data to track pupil progress and provide high-quality, objective feedback to parents and staff.
* Partnership: Engage effectively with families and external practitioners to deliver holistic support for children
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
* Experience: Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
* Qualifications: GCSEs/O-Levels and a relevant Level 2 qualification (Level 3 is desirable).
* Skills: A clear understanding of how to provide outstanding learning support, manage behaviour effectively, and use ICT creatively.
* Knowledge: A thorough understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding legislation.
* Qualities: High-level communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others
