Electrical Estimator – Location: Stockton on Tees
We are working with an established electrical contractor looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator to support ongoing and future work across technically complex projects. This is a key role within the commercial function, offering exposure to full end-to-end tendering and close collaboration with delivery teams and clients. The role will suit someone confident managing the estimating process independently while operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
* Reviewing specifications, drawings and tender documentation
* Producing detailed and accurate electrical tenders and quotations
* Ensuring all tender submissions are technically correct and compliant
* Managing tender timelines and submitting bids to tight deadlines
* Attending site visits, client briefings and pre-order meetings
* Liaising with clients, suppliers and internal teams to clarify scope and requirements
* Finalising bids and supporting handover to Project Managers
* Reviewing and confirming electrical specifications post-award
* Identifying, costing and managing variations, upcharges and concessions
About You
* Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Estimator or Electrical Engineer in an estimating role
* Strong understanding of electrical specifications, technical documentation and tender processes
* Confident working independently and managing multiple tenders at once
* Strong analytical, numerical and general IT skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines
