We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational Maths Teacher to join a committed and effective team of specialist teachers and who will participate fully in the life of the school. The successful applicant will teach across the full age and ability range. This is a full‑time vacancy on a permanent contract with a September 2026 start. The ability to teach A‑Level would be a significant advantage.

What the school offers its staff
Set in a semi‑rural location with an 18th Century family Manor House at its heart, Lytchett has one of the most beautiful and inspirational learning environments in the county with stunning extensive grounds and a number of modern extensions. The school is massively over‑subscribed and highly regarded in the community. Parents know that Lytchett looks after its students, providing them with outstanding pastoral care and high‑quality teaching. The school has a successful, thriving sixth form with over 340 students.
Lytchett has not joined a multi‑academy trust, and has no intention of doing so, because it values its independence as a secondary school which serves its local community and produces outstanding outcomes for its students.
The Maths Department is welcoming and will ensure that the successful candidate receives appropriate induction, training and support. We pride ourselves on our strong induction systems which new colleagues always value highly. We also have well‑developed performance management systems, and a range of professional development opportunities are available such as leadership training and twilight inset sessions.
Commitment to safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff/volunteers to share this commitment. Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS Enhanced Disclosure and acceptable references. We will conduct social media/internet searches of shortlisted candidates as part of a safeguarding check. This will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. To avoid unconscious bias/any risk of discrimination, the person conducting the searches will not be on the appointment panel. Information will only be shared if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
