Job: Civils Estimator
Location: Hampshire (Option for Hybrid Working)
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 plus benefits
My client, a respected civil engineering contractor operating across the UK, is looking for an Estimator to join their new Southern division in the Hampshire area. This is a key opportunity to support a strong pipeline of tenders, mainly within highways maintenance and the wider civils and infrastructure sector, and to work closely with senior leadership to shape the region's growth.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates for highways and civil engineering projects
- Price from first principles using estimating software (e.g. Conquest)
- Conduct site visits and assess project-specific requirements
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Attend tender meetings and support smooth project handovers
- Monitor market trends and gather site feedback to improve accuracy
Requirements:
- Proven estimating experience in highways/civils/infrastructure
- Strong NEC4 contract knowledge
- Comfortable with take-offs, CAD drawings, and job-specific pricing
- Self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and commercially aware
Package:
- £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (depending on experience)
