Are you an adaptable KS1 Teacher who enjoys teaching across Year 1 and Year 2 and shaping early-phase practice? A welcoming primary in Slough is recruiting a KS1 Teacher to join the EYFS–KS1 phase from January 2026.
The KS1 Teacher will teach flexibly across Key Stage 1 classes as required, design coherent, evidence-informed sequences, lead targeted interventions and support smooth transition between Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. This KS1 Teacher post in Slough begins January 2026; induction and planning time will be provided prior to January 2026 so the KS1 Teacher can be classroom-ready for the spring term.
Role responsibilities
* Plan and deliver sequenced KS1 lessons that secure phonics progression, reading fluency and early number skills.
* Lead small-group and one-to-one interventions, monitor impact and refine approaches to accelerate learning across Slough.
* Ensure continuity of learning between Reception and Year 1 and from Year 2 into KS2.
* Work with TAs to scaffold learning, adapt resources and support inclusive practice in the KS1 phase.
* Contribute to moderation, curriculum development and whole-school improvement activities.
Person specification
* Qualified teacher with clear KS1 experience and the flexibility to teach across Year and Year 2.
* Strong pedagogy for early reading and early mathematics, with experience delivering targeted interventions.
* Reflective, collaborative and committed to the Slough school community; able to start January
