We are currently seeking a high-calibre and motivated Senior Engineers to join our expanding Water Engineering team to deliver consultancy services and develop engineering solutions for our clients across industries such as Maritime/Coastal engineering, Industrial and Water. You will work closely with our highly skilled multi-disciplinary teams throughout the organisation and our clients to efficiently deliver projects and provide high value consultancy services. The Senior Mechanical Engineer reports to a Team Leader and collaborates with all stakeholders cross disciplines including client liaison to achieve 'best for project' outcomes. Responsibilities: You are likely to work on a portfolio of different projects and will apply your acquired skills and knowledge in a range of environments. Successful contribution to and delivery of projects in a team environment, Personal responsibility and ownership of projects Technical and commercial delivery Management, liaison and co-ordination of the Technicians in the team Production of deliverables to programme timescales Supervision, knowledge sharing and mentoring of less experienced members of the team Interpretation and application of relevant client, industry and GHD standards Specific experience, skills & knowledge Knowledge of some or all of the following; Process plant, Rotating Equipment, Pumping Systems, Steam Systems, Clean and waste water systems (clarification, filtration, disinfection, sludge handling etc), Detailed pipework design, Pipework stress analysis. Experience of programming and resource planning as well as the ability to prepare, review and approve calculations, reports, drawings and design briefs relating to pipe work and process plant installations. Application of Engineering principles Design Development Qualifications / skills Honours degree in relevant discipline required Chartered Engineer or near Chartered status (MICE, MIStructE). Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently. Project management skills and ownership of work. Strong client relationship management skills. Strong presentation and communication skills, written and verbal.
