Overview
Clinical Nurse Specialist (NMP) - Mental Health role at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. This position involves delivering specialist nursing assessments, interventions and prescribing to adults in the setting described (HMP Bristol). The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide care that is efficient and patient-centred, with a focus on improving wellbeing and future community resettlement.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist assessments, nursing interventions and prescribing of medications to adults residing in HMP Bristol.
* As a senior clinician, participate in the review of clinical policies and guidelines relevant to the area and support and implement changes to practice.
* Liaise with other organisations and professionals to promote communication and good practice.
* Undertake audit activity and provide supervision to other staff in the Mental Health team.
* Contribute to the integrated healthcare delivery model delivering Mental Health, Physical Health, Pharmacy and Clinical Substance Misuse services to improve wellbeing and outcomes.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Qualified nursing professional with eligibility for NMC registration and suitable experience in mental health care.
* Experience with clinical governance, policy interpretation, and guiding practice changes.
* Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and liaise with external organisations and professionals.
* Ability to undertake audit activities and supervision responsibilities.
