We have several offices in Central and Southern England and have ambitious plans to expand our business. To support the organisation’s growth, we are looking for an Audit Senior or Semi-Senior to join our growing auditteam. This is a permanent full-time position (37.5 hours per week) with hybrid and flexible working options. This role will require travel between the three Langdowns DFK offices (Eastleigh, Basingstoke and Andover).
We would like to hear from you if you are AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified and have a minimum of 2-3 years’ UK audit practice experience. We are also looking for the following:
* Previous accounts production experience is preferred, but not essential.
* Xero, Sage, CaseWare, IRIS and Silverfin experience would be an advantage.
* Fully fluent in English with proven communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly.
* Good team player with ability to lead and train junior members of staff.
* Well-presented and possess the necessary attitude and personality that is associated with a professional firm.
* Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills with staff and clients alike.
* Able to adhere to budgets and advise managers of problems on a timely basis.
* An organised individual with excellent timekeeping skills.
* Due to the travel requirements of the role, a valid UK driving license and car access is essential.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading audits and auditing as part of a team, liaising with managers and partners when required.
* Prepare audit files, undertake audit planning and lead/assist with fieldwork.
* Assist in work allocation and supervise more junior team members on audits, providing support, training and reviewing their work.
* Ensure audit assignments are completed to a high standard, in time and within budgets agreed with Directors.
* Preparation of accounts using Silverfin and IRIS software.
* Clearing reviews and finalising accounts including checking disclosures in Limited Company Accounts.
* Preparation of Corporation Tax computations including capital allowances.
* If qualified, attending training courses as directed by managers.
* If not yet qualified, attending day release study towards a recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA) and keeping continuous records of work-based experience in connection with this accountancy qualification.
* Any other reasonable duties as required.
* A comprehensive study package including full funding to allow you to complete your ACCA/ACA qualification where applicable, study leave, and time off for exams.
