The Accounts Assistant is an essential part of the finance team and will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day operations such as sales and purchase ledgers and basic bookkeeping.
You will be the first point of contact for colleagues, customers and suppliers who have finance related queries as well as managing delegated areas of the finance function.
You will be working closely with the Finance Director to ensure that information is timely and accurate.
Main Duties
Purchase Invoice & Purchase Credit Note processing.
Sales Invoice & Sales Credit Note processing.
Liaise with suppliers and provide quick responses to escalated queries.
Customer and supplier statement reconciliations
Monthly supplier payment runs.
Ad hoc supplier payments
Bank reconciliation.
Cashflow management
Petty cash management
Credit card management.
Processing monthly payroll – compiling hours, drafting payroll reports, processing payments and preparing reconciliations to management accounts.
Processing expense requests
Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts
Support the preparation and review of the monthly budget.
Preparing job analysis and relevant information to support decision-making.
Stock management.
Any other delegated financial responsibilities
Experience Required
Advanced Excel
AAT qualified
Finance experience – 2 years minimum.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office...
