We are looking for a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team.
You will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide individual or small-group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional and mental health needs. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Provide one-to-one or small-group learning support tailored to individual pupil needs.
* Help plan and deliver differentiated activities that encourage engagement and progress.
* Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
* Assist with personal care needs where necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (SEN experience desirable but not essential).
* Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* A proactive approach to supporting learning and managing behaviour.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
