We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV I Day/Night Tramper or Trunkers to join our Client Team on a full-time basis. This role involves operating HGV I vehicles for the transportation of goods across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and have experience as a delivery driver. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations.
Duties
* Operate HGV I vehicles for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
* Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cargo, maintaining safety standards at all times.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
Skills
* Proven experience in Curtainsiders, with a strong understanding of load securing techniques.
* Valid HGV I licence with a clean driving record is essential.
* Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
* Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work flexible hours, including day or night shifts as required.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members and clients.

Working Hours & Conditions
* Typical shifts: early start (often around 04:00-06:00), may be long days, occasional weekend work.
