Key Details Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (includes 30‑minute welfare duty) Eligibility: For those currently undertaking a BA Hons, TA NVQ, CACHE, or Childcare qualification Pay Rate: £14.30 – £15.00 per hour What Will the Role Involve? In this KS2 trainee role, you will: Work alongside the class teacher to support teaching, learning, and classroom routines. Provide direct support to pupils, helping them stay engaged, confident, and focused during lessons. Assist with learning activities across the curriculum, particularly in core subjects. Encourage positive behaviour and help foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment. Contribute to behaviour management strategies and work with pupils to overcome learning challenges. Communicate clearly and professionally with pupils, teachers, and support staff. Role Summary & Expectations Support pupils’ safety, wellbeing, and access to learning. Encourage independence and self‑confidence in pupils. Assist with preparation, organisation, and tidying of classroom materials. Help clarify lesson instructions and reinforce learning objectives. Provide academic support under teacher supervision. Supervise children during break and lunch periods. Adhere to all school policies, including safeguarding, equality, health and safety, data protection, and confidentiality. Report any concerns to the designated safeguarding lead or relevant staff member.
