Project Manager – Water / Wastewater Chester, Cheshire (site-based – North West contractor) £65,000 – £75,000 DOE package Long-term water sector framework work A well-established civil engineering contractor operating across the North West is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to deliver complex water and wastewater schemes as part of a long-term, secured framework workload. The business has a strong track record within the water sector, delivering upgrades and capital improvement works to live treatment assets. This is a site-based role, with the first project located in Chester, offering stability, continuity of work, and the opportunity to take ownership of technically challenging schemes within a structured and well-supported environment. The Role Reporting into the Contracts / Senior Management team, you will take full responsibility for the safe, commercial and operational delivery of water and wastewater projects, including: * Overall project management from pre-construction through to completion * Managing site teams, engineers and subcontractors * Planning, programming and resourcing works * Overseeing HSEQ compliance on live operational assets * Managing client relationships and stakeholder engagement * Working closely with commercial teams to manage cost, change and risk * Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget Project Scope * Water and wastewater treatment works upgrades * Mechanical, electrical and civils interfaces * Live operational environments * Process upgrades and associated infrastructure works About You * Proven experience working as a Project Manager within the water or utilities sector * Strong background delivering water or wastewater treatment projects * Experience working on live treatment works or operational assets * Commercially and contractually aware * Confident managing client interfaces and multidisciplinary teams * Previous experience delivering works for United Utilities is highly desirable Tickets / Qualifications * SMSTS * CSCS * First Aid What’s on Offer * £65,000 – £75,000 basic salary (DOE) * Competitive package (car / allowance, pension, etc.) * Long-term, secured workload within the water sector * Site-based role in Chester with a North West regional contractor * Stable position within a reputable and growing business
