Overview
Job Summary
In accordance with objectives set by the Pharmacy Manager and the Chief Technician, the post holder will be a link between patients, their carers and/or representatives, medical staff and visitors to the Pharmacy Department and Royal Free London Pharmacy staff. They will take in prescriptions and handle financial transactions and safely dispense medicines. They will behave in a manner that is both sensitive and that ensures patient confidentiality at all times.
Responsibilities
* As a representative of the department, behave in a professional, positive and polite manner and maintain confidentiality.
* Maintain high standards and orderly methods of working; be accountable for own actions.
* Understand the needs of the dispensary as a whole and take the initiative in responding to those needs.
* Direct or accompany visitors to the correct areas within the department.
* Follow the company dress code.
* Participate in weekday, late duty, weekend and bank holiday service rosters as required at Royal Free London Pharmacy sites.
* Undertake other relevant duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Head of Department.

Essential
* Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
* Experience: Current community or hospital pharmacy experience
* Aptitudes: Excellent customer service skills; strong communication skills
Desirable
* NVQ Level 2 Qualifications in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent or working towards
* Experience of working in a hospital pharmacy
* Experience of using Prescription tracker systems
* Experience of working in an automated dispensary environment
