Job Summary
You'll develop and set revenue sales and marketing strategies for both hotels based in Brighton to ensure plans are implemented, results are monitored, and sales goals are achieved. Regularly sell hotels' rooms, meeting rooms, and food and beverage through direct client contacts. This role reports to the GMs of both hotels and Director of Sales & Marketing

* Possess excellent communication and motivation skills, you'll need to be a good co-operator and persuader, with a professional, warm, trusting and friendly approach
* Well informed about the market, and therefore can accurately forecast sales predictions and shifts in the marketplace, both on a national scale and for the individual region
* A drive for sales generation, networking, building reputations and identifying new opportunities within social and corporate markets
* Ability to build and maintain long lasting relationships with existing and new clients
* A proven track record of success within this or a similar position with an innovative approach and the ability to react to change
Duties
* Drive a great sales culture for teams to thrive – connect departments to create sense of 'one team'
* Achieve budgeted revenues and personal/team sales goals and maximise profitability. Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, the hotel marketing plan and business plan, and financial plans
* Create and implement sales plans that drive budgeted results across all revenue channels and maximise on all possible additional spends to achieve sales targets and to expand the company's customer base
* Work with the hotel and central marketing team to ensure all content is up to date on all marketing channels, creating innovative and regular content/updates to ensure maximum exposure is achieved.
* Develop and manage hotel 360 marketing plan in line with General Manager & central support team
* Have a positive impact on 'STR'
* Produce reports in line with required timeframes, sales forecasts to analyse current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established plans
* Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors. Work closely with the Revenue team to deliver the best possible results
* Understand the USP's for the site/s responsible and the group overall, cross selling other sites within Madison Cairn Group where possible
* Develop and maintain relationships with key clients across all market segments and grow account value in accordance with budgeted figures
* Understand the 'gaps and opportunities within the hotel and proactively source ways to fill them
* Effectively cross sell other properties within the Madison Cairn Group estate when opportunities arise
* Effectively manage time and resources, make client visits, arrange and host FAM trips, client show rounds, telesales and email campaigns and sales blitzes that will Identify new business, maximising all sales lead opportunities to drive incremental and new revenue to the hotel
* Achieve telesales and appointment targets set by the company
* Attend trade fairs, networking events and represent the hotel/group at industry events as required
* Analyse productivity figures on a regular basis for all managed accounts
* Maintain up to date client records and maintain an accurate list of all decision makers and bookers on the sales database. Confidently communicate with all contacts up to and including board level
* Manage the everyday activities, plan and assign work, of the team you are responsible for
* Develop the team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues (where applicable)
* Support colleagues to make sure they hit set goals to the standards we expect. Initiate any HR related actions as required
