Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, as you will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Duties
* Supervise daily café operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and adherence to food safety regulations.
* Manage food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring that all dishes meet our quality standards.
* Lead and motivate a team of staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development.
* Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of café operations.
* Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
* Train new staff members in food production techniques, hospitality practices, and café policies.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or café industry.
* Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking.
* Background in hospitality with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
* Previous experience as a barista is advantageous but not essential.
* Kitchen experience is preferred; hotel experience is also beneficial.
