What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved
* Lead the project management of the Holborn Liveable Neighbourhood programme (HLN) – a £55m initiative to create safe, accessible, climate‑resilient streets, enhance public spaces and support local businesses.
* Lead the Better, Safer Kilburn scheme – a £12m project to improve safety, air quality, walkability and overall attractiveness of the town centre.
* Project manage the design, consultation, implementation and monitoring of Healthy Streets schemes within these programmes.
* Coordinate with internal departments and external partners (Transport for London, GLA, neighbouring boroughs, funders) to ensure delivery.
* Deliver community engagement and consultation activities, ensuring inclusivity and effective outcomes.
* Prepare high‑quality reports, manage budgets and maintain financial oversight for the programmes.
* Line manage a Senior Transport Planner and support their professional development.
All About You
* Strong experience delivering complex Healthy Streets and transport planning projects.
* Deep understanding of the policy and statutory framework for Healthy Streets and related activities.
* Pro‑active project manager, capable of handling overlapping initiatives on time and to budget.
* Demonstrated partnership working, stakeholder relationship building with TfL, GLA, other boroughs, and external funders.
* Excellent knowledge of streetscape design, accessibility and sustainability issues.
* Ability to prepare high‑quality papers, reports and presentations for council committees, public meetings and inquiry hearings.
* Strong communication skills, able to work closely with elected members and understand the local political landscape.
* Professionalism and expertise in Healthy Streets/LN schemes matters at internal and external meetings.
* Capacity to support and oversee junior staff and consultants.
