Location: Slough/Reading
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
This is a field-based role with occasional HQ visits and offsite meetings.
Salary: Up to £25,000 - £27,000 per annum, plus a performance-related bonus of 10%!

Your Role
We are seeking a dynamic Field Sales Executive to drive new retail distribution points by promoting our client’s products within the Independent Retail Sector (Convenience, CTN, Grocery, etc.). If you have a proven track record in field sales, we want to hear from you!
Our client is a well-known household brand, supplying major supermarkets, high streets, garden centres, and retailers, along with a robust e-commerce presence. Their diverse product offerings are perfectly suited for the independent market, providing high-quality options at various price points.
Main Responsibilities
* Achieve sales and distribution targets across various accounts while engaging business owners.
* Build strong customer relationships and identify new distribution opportunities.
* Adopt an entrepreneurial approach to uncover key accounts with bulk distribution potential.
* Maximize brand presence within your sales territory.
* Complete all relevant calls as per your territory plan daily.
* Foster a high-performing field mentality to meet all KPIs.
* Communicate effectively to share best practices and keep your Line Manager informed.
* Proactively resolve issues before they escalate.
* Maintain expert knowledge of the client’s business and products.
* Provide quality feedback to your Line Manager to drive growth strategies.
* Complete administrative tasks to ensure high standards and timely submissions.
* Understand the retail landscape to leverage competitive advantages.
* Utilize the Smiths News delivery network to facilitate ongoing customer orders.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Experience in a relevant sales or retail environment, preferably in FMCG/consumer goods.
* Brand Ambassador experience is a plus!
* Strong relationship-building skills and sales techniques.
* Experience in remote field activity with a track record of meeting sales targets.
* Strong organizational and planning abilities.
* Analytical skills to drive sales conversions through education.
* Proven success in sales.
* Ability to influence and implement change effectively.
* Capability to document ideas and actions to enhance performance.
