Senior Delivery Manager Permanent Grade 5 - £42,839 - £51,356 We are a Living Wage Employer, and all our roles will be paid as such where the pay scales are below the Living Wage rate. Due to Birmingham's magnitude, this is one of the most extensive and fascinating roles in local government, and you can anticipate receiving a degree of responsibility and professional development that corresponds to our aspiration to become a first-rate digital service What we are about As the Digital and Technology Services Delivery Team, we are responsible for implementing various programs and projects for the Birmingham City Council. Our team has played a crucial role in delivering high-profile and politically sensitive initiatives, such as the Commonwealth Games and Clean Air Zone. Additionally, we have been actively working on developing our digital products, including the Birmingham Guardian app for field workers, which has been nominated for a national award. With our new low-code development tool, we have even more potential to create innovative solutions What you will do Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to directly lead, plan and deliver complex projects, products and new digital services using an agile or waterfall methodology that may exceed £5m Act as the escalation point to resolve project issues, remove blockers, and manage risks, issues, dependencies, commercials, budgets, and people. Engaging, influencing and communicating to a range of stakeholder groups to support the delivery and working in the open with the user at the centre of all you do Act as a facilitator and as required a spokesperson for product teams that you work within communicating with stakeholders about the progress of the team.
