Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. Duties
* Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
* Support cooks with cooking tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking ingredients as required.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Help with internal catering events by preparing dishes according to specific menus and dietary requirements.
* Serve meals to residents, visitors and sisters of the community, ensuring an excellent dining experience.
* Follow instructions from head chefs and kitchen managers to ensure efficient workflow.
Experience
* Previous kitchen experience or culinary experience is preferred but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is advantageous.
* Experience in catering or restaurant environments will be considered a plus.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality.
