Were looking for an experienced Baker to join Ottolenghis Central Production Unit and take a leading role in creating our high-quality baked goods. This is a hands-on position where youll manage production, mentor junior bakers, and help maintain the efficiency and excellence of our bakery.
What youll do:
Lead the preparation and baking of a wide range of bakery products
Ensure all products meet Ottolenghis recipes and quality standards
Monitor baking processes, including mixing, proofing, baking, and cooling
Conduct quality checks on ingredients and finished products
Supervise, train, and mentor junior bakers and bakery assistants
Assign tasks, oversee daily operations, and provide feedback to the team
Manage inventory, coordinate ingredient orders, and minimise waste
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised workspace
What were looking for:
Minimum of 1 years professional baking experience.
Strong leadership and team management skills
Extensive knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Organised, flexible, and physically able to work in a busy, hot kitchen
Working hours:
You will work 5 shifts per week within our 7-day operating schedule
