About the Role
As a Planning Compliance Officer, you will uphold the integrity of our planning system by investigating and managing non-compliance cases. Your role involves research, negotiation, and enforcement actions.
* Investigate reports of planning breaches
* Conduct site inspections and research
* Engage with stakeholders to resolve issues informally
* Recommending formal enforcement when necessary
* Collaborate with internal teams, statutory bodies, and the public
You will work within a proactive enforcement team across a diverse geographical area, facing various planning challenges.
What We're Looking For
Ideal candidates will have:
* Knowledge of Town and Country Planning legislation and policies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Experience in investigating enforcement issues (preferably planning-related)
* A proactive, independent approach with caseload management skills
* Competent IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office and digital planning tools
