We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Practice Nurse to work alongside our team.
We are seeking a full-time Practice Nurse, ideally 37.5 hours per week; however, part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
You will help deliver nursing services to our local population, including but not limited to immunisations, smear testing, travel vaccinations, B12 & Depo injections, ECGs, and managing long-term conditions. There are also administrative duties such as filing, reporting on blood tests, arranging depo and smear appointments, and answering patient queries.
Duties also include weekly/monthly home visits for housebound patients and visiting care homes to carry out new patient medicals and LTC reviews.

Dr Tun & Partners has 4 GP partners, 1 ANP, 3 Practice Nurses, and serves 7,500 patients. We are part of Hindley PCN and have additional roles within the practice, including a GPA who works closely with and is supported by the Practice Nurses.

* Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by GP Partners.

* Routine immunisations/Childhood immunisations
* Chaperoning and assisting patients during examinations by other clinicians
* Requesting pathology tests, e.g., urine culture, swabs
* Following clinical protocols
* Maintaining and cleaning equipment used by nurses and GPs
* Maintaining GP and nurse rooms, including stocking and rotating items
* Maintaining tidiness and cleanliness of nurses' and treatment rooms
* Ordering health promotion literature and vaccinations
* Participating in administrative systems and maintaining accurate records
* Attending and participating in practice meetings as required
* Undertaking home visits
* Performing any other delegated duties appropriate to the post
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Current NMC registration
* Registered General Nurse with a diploma level qualification or above
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
* Cervical cytology training/qualification
* Child immunisation training/qualification
* Knowledge of diabetes management, respiratory conditions, and asthma
* Knowledge of smoking cessation advice
