Responsibilities:
7. To Chair Child Protection Conferences and other Safeguarding meetings.
8. To develop and ensure good and consistent practice for the children.
9. To provide consultation and advice on all Safeguarding issues
10. Prepare, produce, implement and evaluate individual children, families, carers and professional colleagues
To be considered for the IRO role...ideally, you will have:
11. BSc Social Work or equivalent
12. Social Work England Registration
13. Experience of chairing child protection conferences
14. In-depth knowledge legal frameworks with associated statutory legislation and statutory guidance
15. Ability to challenge when progress of planning is not improving outcomes for children
16. Ability to promote partnership working to improve the lived experience of the child
17. Ability to meet deadlines and adhere to performance indicators
18. Understanding of legislation for Children in Need; Children subject to child protection plans; pathway plans and children Looked After
