A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse and Forklift Operative to join the existing team of a Manufacturer based at Lee Mill Industrial Estate. The successful Warehouse & Forklift Operative will be directly responsible for the transportation, storage, packaging and distribution of product and ancillary items. You will be required to ensure compliance to key paperwork, quality checks and help to maintain stock levels of materials across sites, all within specified timeframes. Key Responsibilities: Picking and packing of nuts, bolts and small components accurately matching descriptions on works orders. Picking and packing of large finished good units and completed bundles of Product, accurately matching descriptions on works orders. Directly responsible for the general housekeeping and cleanliness of the Goods in/out area. Safe Operation of Counterbalance Forklift. Safe operation of hand tools, powered hand tools and air tools to the designated safe standard procedures. Safe operation (when trained) of complex heavy plant to safe standard procedures. Operate within the Integrated Management System at all time whilst being authorised to raise improvement ideas to the continuous improvement or Senior Management Teams. Ensure paperwork issued to you or the area you are working on is completed accurately, neatly and completely. Take full responsibility for the product you are handling. Taking full responsibility for your own and others Health and Safety during your time onsite. Following specifications, directions and written descriptions carefully and correctly. Undertake training and development in line with the companies goals. Working as part of a focused team to achieve and exceed targets. Using your own initiative to flag up quality concerns and improvement ideas to the appropriate people. Complete basic maintenance programmes on machinery and equipment according to the safe standard procedures. Be able to work proactively, self-motivate and use initiative to achieve the daily work needs of the business. Take responsibility of opening and closing the buildings and yard and take ownership of the site security. Complete fully and accurately any other reasonable request by a manager. Experience, Qualification and Skills Required: Valid Counter Balance Fork Lift Licence gained through an external training provider is essential. Warehouse and Counterbalance Forklift driving experience is essential. Pallet making experience essential First Aid Qualification is desirable Permanent position. Hours of work are Day shift, 7am 3.30, Monday to Friday during training then change to 8.30am 5pm. Due to our clients location and the hours of work own transport would be highly beneficial.
