Are you looking for a new challenge? Wye Valley NHS Trust are seeking enthusiastic and dynamic Radiographers to join our diagnostics team, this post will include rotation between our new Community Diagnostic Centre and Hereford County Hospital.
The Community Diagnostic Centre will incorporate Imaging (Plain X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI), a range of cardiorespiratory investigations including echocardiography, ECG and rhythm monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, spirometry, FeNO, lung function tests, simple field tests, sleep investigations, oximetry, blood gas analysis and pathology services in a "one stop" location to obtain diagnostic information in cancer, cardiac, respiratory, musculo-skeletal and other conditions. The Radiology department in Hereford has undergone significant changes and you will have the opportunity to work with modern and up to date technology.
Our CT department has undergone redesign and we have 3 Canon Aquillion Prime SP scanners and an additional scanner in our new CDC. We are looking for highly motivated, skilled, state registered Radiographers to join our team. We can offer flexible shift patterns to support our 7 day working.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be expected to have B.Sc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualifications and experience of working in CT. We are looking for staff to support the 7 day working in CT and will offer flexible approach to working. We are a progressive department and support training, we currently perform a wide variety of specialised imaging including Colon, interventional and Perfusion CT.
If you also demonstrate comprehensive MRI experience then there may be the opportunity to rotate between CT and MRI.
The post holder will be expected to produce imaging to the highest standards and offer training and support for diagnostic radiography students from BCU and University of Gloucester and University of Exeter.
They will be required to organise workload in order to provide the best possible patient care. To evaluate new ways of working and techniques to facilitate service improvements.

Person Specification
Education & Qualifications
* B Sc Diagnostic Radiography Degree or equivalent
* Cannulation Certificate
* HCPC registration
* CT Post graduate Certificate
* Certificate in CT colonography
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
* 2 years general radiographic experience
* Previous CT or experience
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload
* Ability to demonstrate specialist knowledge and expertise
Experience
* Ability to work single handed/ independently
* Ability to make day to day decisions
* Knowledge of current NHS policies and procedures
