Job Summary
You are invited to join the Trust Bank as a Registered Nurse, working on an as and when required basis, covering shifts across the Trust's regions including Barnsley, Calderdale, Dewsbury, Huddersfield and Wakefield. Minimum commitment: 4 shifts in a 6‑month period with all mandatory training kept current.

Job Responsibilities
* Work flexibly to cover shifts, providing a 365‑day service.
* Act as shift co‑ordinator, planning and coordinating shifts to ensure smooth operation and model best practice.
* Coordinate and lead the team, using team skills to deliver the best standards of care and interventions.
* Prioritise workload in keeping with team and service objectives.
* Provide direct care for named service users: assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment and care.
* Participate in reviews, ward rounds and relevant meetings.
* Provide care interventions for other service users per their written care plans.
* Maintain accurate care plans and documentation.
* Maintain statistical records, contribute to evaluation processes.
* Develop working relationships with consultants, other trust teams and voluntary agencies.
* Promote service user/carer involvement.
* Inform service users of their rights to access and engage with their care plans.
* Contribute to the shared philosophy of culture and practice.
* Respect confidentiality and accountability.
* Maintain standards of care, provide guidance and support to junior staff and participate in clinical supervision.
* Create an inclusive environment that values equality, diversity, health, safety and security.
* Maintain awareness of developments in clinical practice and promote a positive image of the service and trust.
Qualifications
* 1st Level Registered Nurse on the appropriate part of the register.
Desirable Qualifications
* Relevant post‑basic qualifications such as CBT/PSI.
* Experience of mentoring/supporting learners or ability to demonstrate skills for effective mentoring.
Experience
* Experience in systematic approach to care: assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation.
* Aware of the Care Programme Approach and key worker/primary nurse systems.
* Experience working with individuals with mental health or learning disability needs.
* Experience collaborative working within a recovery‑based model of intervention.
* Knowledge of clinical and professional supervision.
Desirable Experience
* Implementation of the Care Programme Approach.
* Leading and supervising junior/unqualified staff.
* Working with risk assessment models (e.g., HCR, 20) and risk tools.
* Experience with care pathway approach toward recovery.
Employment Details
Band: Band 5
Salary: £32,073 to £39,043 per year
Contract: Bank (365 days)
