Responsibilities
The Role: The role aims to prevent Solus breaching statutory compliance by ensuring that each site is in full compliance with Solus requirements and mitigations put in place. This crucial role is to provide support to the UK HSE Lead and to advise and support all sites and head office teams on Health, Safety, and Environment matters. The UK HSE Advisor will assist in delivering the health and safety strategy and manage the day-to-day running of the HSE management system.
Key Outputs:
* Ensure Solus adheres to statutory requirements
* Identify and manage risks with appropriate controls
* Conduct HS&E Audits
* Perform Risk Assessments / SWPs
* Produce statistics / reports
* Investigate accidents, including root cause analysis
* Conduct Noise Assessments
* Perform DSE Workstation assessments
* Conduct COSHH Assessments
* Assess tools and HAV
* Research new equipment, chemicals, PPE to ensure minimal hazards
* Resolve, report, and escalate issues
* Provide solutions to challenges
* Support all sites and deputise for the UK HSE Lead during absences
* Review OHO reports and statutory inspection reports
* Attend meetings as requested by UK HSE lead
Qualifications
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
* NEBOSH General Cert. Qualified
* Proven experience in H&S advisory role, multisite or large single site
* Preferably in high-risk mechanical environments
* Operational management experience is a plus
* Knowledge of 5S principles
* Understanding of environmental requirements
