Overview
The Director of Transformation and Separation will be responsible for leading commercial separation strategy and execution, ensuring functional and cross-functional planning is adequate, compatible, and tested within the local market context. This role is critical to validating that MiniMed's individual markets are prepared for Day 1 operations and a smooth transition from the parent company. This role will also oversee the development of local operating models for our largest markets, manage and optimize Transition Service Agreements (TSAs), and drive delivery improvements that meet local requirements. This is a high-impact, strategic role that will regularly interface with both the most senior commercial leaders as well as the most senior functional leaders across MiniMed. Executive presence, strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a natural accountability to execution is paramount.
Responsibilities
* Lead the separation strategy and execution plan to ensure successful Day 1 operations within our most critical local markets.
* Develop localized operating models that consider the unique needs of our most important markets - ensuring commercial activity can continue unimpeded
* Develop and manage the roadmap for commercial separation, identifying critical dependencies, risks, and milestones.
* Collaborate with commercial business and functional leaders to minimize disruption and ensure business continuity.
* TSA (Transition Service Agreement) Management and Optimization:
* Manage all commercial TSAs with the parent company, ensuring service continuity and contract compliance.
* Identify opportunities to reduce dependency on TSAs and accelerate the transition to standalone operations.
* Establish performance monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track TSA performance and cost effectiveness.
* Negotiate and manage amendments to TSAs as needed to align with business objectives.
* Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
* Act as the primary point of contact to local markets for separation and transformation efforts with executive stakeholders.
* Provide regular updates to senior leadership on separation progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
* Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing separation programs and serves as liaison between the Diabetes Separation management Office, local market leadership, and Senior Executive Leadership
* Partner with business and functional leaders to ensure alignment to both separation & transformation goals.
* Manage a portfolio of strategic projects, monitoring progress, mitigating risks, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment with MiniMed's priorities.
* Establish governance routines, executive dashboards, and performance reporting to maintain leadership visibility and control.
* Requirements and Location:
* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
* Extensive experience in strategy, transformation, and operations leadership roles
* Experience in consulting with a focus on execution of Mergers, Acquisitions, & Divestitures or Business Transformation
* Proven track record and experience with commercial operations in key European markets including tender management, pricing, order to cash fulfilment, and customer service.
* Must be located in a European time zone and available for partial overlap with Pacific US business hours.
* Strong understanding of TSA management and service optimization.
